Expert Photography Tips for Small Floor Plans, Part 1

Do you struggle to take great photos in homes with small floor plans? 😟

Are you looking for advice on how to make them look more spacious and appealing?

Then you’re in the right place! 😀

Small spaces can be tricky, but with the right techniques, you can make those photos pop.

We’ve worked on a lot of properties like that, and there are a few tips that make a big difference:

📌 First off, lens choice is super important. For tight spaces, a wide-angle lens can be a game-changer because it captures more of the room and makes the space feel bigger. Just be careful not to overdo it—you don’t want that distorted, fish-eye look. Something in the 35 to 85 mm range usually works best.

Also, natural light is your best friend in smaller homes!

Try to shoot on sunny days when light floods the room, but also strategically use artificial lighting to fill in any shadows.

Does that make sense?

Wondering about composition and other lighting techniques?

We’ll cover these in detail in one of our next posts. 😉

So, stay tuned!

But in the meantime, if you want to ensure your listings stand out with stunning, emotionally resonant visuals, just like in this project for @nikmichel_realestate, we’re here to help.
